If there is any inconsistency between this Privacy Policy and the Applicable Law, the Applicable Law shall prevail.

By registering on our Website, you specifically consent to the use and transmission/transfer/sharing of the Information to Salt to provide the services to you as per the Terms of Use of the Website.

This Privacy Policy applies to the mindlink_social-listening application ("App") operated by SaltInc Consulting Private Limited. The App integrates with Facebook and Instagram APIs provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information obtained through Meta platforms.

Information Collected via Facebook / Instagram

When users log in using Facebook Login or connect their Facebook or Instagram account, we may collect the following information (only with user permission):

  • Public profile information (name, profile picture)
  • Email address
  • Facebook Page information (if the user connects a Page)
  • Engagement or analytics data related to connected Pages
  • Any other permissions explicitly granted by the user

We only collect data necessary to provide the App's functionality.

How We Use Facebook / Instagram Data

We use the information collected through Meta platforms to:

Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered.

This Privacy Policy covers SALT's treatment of the Information that we collect when you use the Website, or which you submit to SALT on the Website or otherwise. This Privacy Policy does not apply to companies or entities that SALT does not own or control, or has no contractual relationship with. If you choose not to provide the Information that we seek from you, then you may not be able to avail the Website and / or the services that we provide and we may also not be able respond to any queries that you may have.

We take your privacy seriously and will take all measures to protect your Personal Information. Your responses (which includes the Information) to questions or any questionnaire that you submit on this Website are entirely voluntary and will be used, anonymously, in ongoing research by Salt the creators of this test, and other researchers with The Salt Inc's permission. Registration

You have two ways of registering for submitting your responses – using the social network of your choice or using your email. Please note that by using social network of your choice you are subject to their privacy policy and not Salt's. Salt only has access to public information, which is later used to compute aggregated statistics for the research of the strengths effect on human happiness.

If you decide to register with email, we also ask you to give us a name that you would like to use. These are for your benefit. They make it easier for you to remember how to log in here. They make it possible for us to tell you your password if you forget it. And they help you be sure that you are looking at your own records if you share your computer with another user of this Website. We display your name when you log in and include it in your printable report. If you do not want to share your real name, you can make up a name.

You are not required to give us your real e-mail address or name, but we hope that you will in case you need any help with your account. If we receive a request for information about your account, the response will be sent to the registered address, not the one making the request, unless we can verify that the registered address is an invalid or defective address and that the person making the request is the person who created the account. Providing a real email address will also enable us to send you useful information and resources.

If you register and complete Salt's questionnaire following the invitation of any coaches or consultant professional, your Personal Information (name, email address and survey results/responses) will be shared with that coach / consultant professional. Your registration through their link will serve as permission to do so.

Questions or Questionnaire

We collect your responses to questions on this Website and store these, along with your scores, on our database server. We will never report your individual responses or scores to others, except as described below and in accordance with the purpose for which we have collected the Information, as set out in the Terms of Use. We may publish your individual scores and responses in reports, publications, lectures, and other websites, if required.

You are not required to provide us with any of this data, but if you choose to submit the registration form or any of the questions, you must answer all of the questions to be able to receive a valid score.

You can always ask to remove your data by submitting a corresponding request via the contact form at getsupport@thesaltinc.com. Please be aware that once your data is removed, your data will be irrevocably deleted and there will be no way for you to have access to them again.

What Information We Share

(i)   For the development and maintenance of this Website, we contract with IT professionals that might require access to the data collected on this Website, solely for the purpose of assisting in the operations of this Website and not for any commercial purpose. These individuals are bound by strict confidentiality requirements.

(ii)  With our Partners/research / commercial partners with whom we have contractual relationships and which are also bound by this Privacy Policy.

Platform Information and Non-Identifiable Information

You therefore hereby agree, and absolutely absolve Salt from any liability or responsibility, and not hold Salt accountable in any manner with respect to any unauthorised disclosure, use or processing of Information, or any breach of this Privacy Policy by the Partners.

The User's use of websites/platforms to which the Website links is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies located on such third-party websites/platforms. SALT absolutely disclaims any liability or responsibility for any disclosure by you or anyone on your behalf of any of Information, which may be posted on any parts of the Website.

You also hereby agree and absolutely absolve Salt from any liability or responsibility and not hold Salt accountable in any manner with respect to any unauthorised disclosure, use or processing of Information, or any breach by any of our Partners of this Privacy Policy, which have access to the Information and which are also subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

For Third-Party Publishers/Third-Party Contractors/Partners/Research Partners of Salt

Partners will be allowed to gain access to the Information from the Website for the purposes set out in the Terms of Use and to process the Information for their commercial and / or non-commercial benefit. The Partners shall also strictly abide by the data protection provisions of this Privacy Policy, in addition to their own privacy policies. Governing Laws and Jurisdiction
